About The
Blessing Bag Drive

The Blessing Bag Drive is a modest effort in wearNIKI’s vision to be of service to women. The idea came about casually in 2016 when wearNIKI founder, Niki Dalton came across a meme sharing the concept of a Blessing Bag. Always the ambitious creative, Dalton thought to herself, “I wonder how many women I could get to join me in an effort to collect 50 bags?” That year wearNIKI found out just how many women it would take , as the drive collected 50 bags and partnered with East Oakland Community Project to distribute bags to women in need in December of 2016. Each year Niki revisions that number and develops new ways to get the word out to bless women each year with the efforts of the annual Blessing Bag Drive. We are very pleased to announce that our partner organization for the this year is Serenity House of Oakland (see the Community Day section for more info).
